Photography (pictures of people)

This picture shows people taking pictures of each other and the school.

This picture shows Denise taking a picture while I in turn takes her picture.

This picture shows Millie walking across the stairs while she fiddles with her phone camera.

  1. 1st photo: The photo looks nice as the diagonal rule is applied. However, the pillar in the background is a distraction. The photo could be improved by taking the photo without pillars blocking the objects in the photo.
2nd photo: This photo has none of the rules applied. It could be improved by taking the photo at a further distance, with the scenery as the background. You can also incorporate the photo with the one third rule.
3rd photo: The photo has lines which showed the depth of the picture. However, the photo of the object is too small and far away. It could be improved by using the diagonal and one third rule.

  2. 1) The rule of thirds is used and so is the diagonal rule.Good job!You might want to take the photo at a different angle to avoid as much distraction in the background as possible.

2)I can't really tell which rules were used...but it seems to me that the golden section rule is used. No distraction in the background, that's great! You might want to take the photo in another angle to clearly mark out which rule you are using.

3)Rule of third is used and so are leading lines. That's good. You might want to move the camera down a bit so that it captures more of the ground for the rule of thirds part.
